HYPERLOVE – AUGMENTED REALITY PERFORMANCE BY ALLAPOPP

We look back: Six months ago, our festival CURRENT – ART AND URBAN SPACE took place in the public spaces of Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt under the theme Keeping Turmoil! Five artistic positions developed works in the urban environment of this Stuttgart district, each addressing different aspects, themes, or issues related to public space.

Artist allapopp created the digital performance HYPERLOVE, which was presented at various public locations in Bad Cannstatt. Experiencing this performance required nothing more than a smartphone, the app developed by allapopp, and a QR code. allapopp’s digital clone performed and sang at the entrance of the former Schwabenbräu Passage, in the subway underpass, on the bridge, at the city beach, and in front of the fountain in Rosenstein Park. Visitors embarked on a search through public space, gaining not only an intimate insight into the world of the digital clone but also a fresh perspective on both the public and digital spaces of Cannstatt.

Starting April 12, 2024, HYPERLOVE will once again be on view at HAU in Berlin!
