Diversorium — the crip and queer party space for every bodies, curated by Veronica Valentini — features Dance Gathering, conceived and facilitated by Alice Chauchat and supported by the soundscapes of Manuela Schninà, for a special edition in Stuttgart. This gathering welcomes dance lovers from diverse communities who enjoy learning new dances — simple, playful forms that require no prior experience. These dances unfold like stories: we might hand over gifts, communicate telepathically, or meet our doubles in a parallel universe. The work is rooted in a commitment to accessibility not as an afterthought, but as an integral and joyful condition — an acsexyble (accessible and sexy) space where care, desire, and embodied diversity take center stage. Rather than adapting to existing norms, this collective moment invites us to reimagine relationships — proposing social dances for a future society we can already begin to practice. In the vibrant public space of Marienplatz, Diversorium featuring Dance Gathering offers the chance to breathe together, gently yet powerfully challenging dominant narratives around bodies, access, and social choreography.
