Donya Ahmadifar

Donya Ahmadifar is a dancer and choreographer from Stuttgart who has been active in the street dance culture for many years. Her focus lies on the dance style Popping, dance battles, participatory theater projects, and the fusion of her Persian roots with elements of Hip Hop culture. After gaining extensive experience through international training, exchange programs, and battles, she began organizing her own workshops, community events, and projects. In 2021, she realized the interactive dance performance Who Still Has Room to Breathe? as artistic director as part of the “Freischwimmen” network and, together with her team, developed new working methods incorporating dances from Hip Hop culture during several residencies. In 2023, her first solo piece Gole Sangam premiered. She is currently focusing her artistic research on the complex rhythms of the Iranian Tombak and their translation into dance.
