Laura Bernhardt is a curator, artist and designer. In her work, she focuses on transformation processes, urban spaces, and transdisciplinary collaboration. She is the founder and artistic director of the festival CURRENT- KUNST UND URBANER RAUM. Together with artists, architects, and institutions, she develops projects and works internationally, including Marjetica Potrč & HFBK Hamburg, MakeCity Festival Berlin, re:publica Berlin, ifa Institute for Foreign Cultural Relations. Laura Bernhardt studied product design at the HfG Karlsruhe and ENSAD in Paris, as well as media art at MassArt and at MIT in the Visual Arts Program in Boston and Cambridge, USA. For her work she has received numerous prizes and fellowships, including a scholarship at the Cité International des Arts Paris. Laura lives in Berlin and Stuttgart and has two children.
